Bar graph showing number of submissions received per day. The lowest 316 in early February and the largest of 14,461 at the end of April.

A very high number of submissions were received in the final weekend of the submissions period. This was likely due to media reporting of the imminent closure of the consultation and a campaign by Reality Check Radio/Voices for Freedom in the final week.

  • Almost half the submissions (45 percent) were received on the last day.
  • Three quarters of submissions (75 percent) were received in the last five days.
